My lessons are structured, interactive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I begin by identifying the topics the student finds most challenging and then work through them step by step, focusing on both understanding the underlying concepts and applying them confidently to questions.
A typical lesson includes a clear explanation of the topic, worked examples, guided practice and exam-style questions. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and adapt my explanations depending on how they learn best. Where appropriate, I also share useful problem-solving techniques, revision strategies and common mistakes to avoid.
Having recently graduated from UCL with a 2:1 MEng in Chemical Engineering, I have a strong background in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics, as well as extensive experience solving technical and numerical problems. I achieved an A* in A-level Mathematics and As in Chemistry and Physics, so I understand both the subject content and the demands of school-level examinations.
My aim is not simply to help students memorise methods, but to build their confidence and make sure they understand why a method works so that they can apply it independently in exams and unfamiliar questions. Lessons can be adapted around schoolwork, upcoming tests, specific difficult topics or longer-term exam preparation.
