My lessons are relaxed, focused, and built around you and improving your knowledge and technique. AQA Biology—whether GCSE or A-level—can feel overwhelming at first, so the aim is to make things simpler and easier to understand without rushing through topics just to tick boxes.
We’ll start each lesson with a quick catch-up to see how you’re feeling and go over anything from last time that didn’t quite stick. If something’s unclear, we’ll go through it again properly—no pressure. When we move on to new content, I keep things simple and visual. Instead of relying on long chunks of text, we’ll break topics down using clear diagrams and real-life examples so the ideas actually make sense and feel much less intimidating.
I also use quick flashcards to help lock in key terms, especially the ones AQA exams expect you to know. It’s not about memorising everything blindly, but making sure you feel confident with the language when it counts and can recall it under pressure.
Towards the end of each lesson, we’ll work through AQA past paper questions together. This helps you get used to how questions are worded and how to apply your knowledge in exams, which is often the hardest part.
Lessons are typically one hour: we start with a short check-in, review the previous topic to iron out any issues or misconceptions, cover new content, reinforce it with quick recall, and finish with exam-style questions. The goal is for you to leave each session feeling clearer, calmer, and more confident.
