I have completed my A-Levels last year, obtaining an A in mathematics and an A in Chemistry and I am currently on track for 1st class in my first year of studying BSc Mathematics with Actuarial Science at the Univeristy of Southampon.
My approach is to teach the basics of the subject and then build on these foundations by developing a student's knowledge through past papers and questions, which I believe will help get the ideal result for the student. I believe that adapting to how the student understands content is vital, and having undergone all of these examinations, I understand how to achieve success. I will use my ipad to demonstrate and teach if a student decides on online lessons.
My lessons will be adapted based on the qualification I am helping my student with and a typical lesson will be for an hour and can either be online or in person at an agreed meeting place.
I am currently a university student and keep myself occupied via participation in the mathematics and actuarial society at my university. The main reason why I want to teach is to help those who need a push, as I did, as I know the challenges that academics posed for me. I understand that sometimes stuff becomes overwhelming, and you feel like you're in a never-ending cycle of just trying to get through exams and struggling with content, and I want to help those who are going through the same challenges as I did.
