Differences Not Disabilities is a specialist SEND education and support centre. Unlike a traditional tuition setting, our provision has been designed specifically around children and young people who may find mainstream education difficult to access.

Our lead teacher, Kurt King, is a qualified secondary English teacher with a degree in English and Linguistics and Qualified Teacher Status. He specialised in working with pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and has extensive experience supporting learners with complex SEND, SEMH, autism, communication difficulties, emotional dysregulation and behaviours that challenge.

Our approach combines high-quality academic tuition with specialist SEND practice. Learning is adapted to the individual rather than expecting the individual to adapt to a conventional classroom model. We can adjust pace, communication, teaching methods, sensory demands and expectations according to the learner's needs.
