This all depends on the age of the student. For younger students I recommend Chester’s Easiest Piano Course. For older students Pam Wedgwood’s “It’s Never Too Late To Play Piano”.

It depends on the level of the student, but I would go with Hanon Book 1, starting very slowly hands, separately. This way you can help the student work on their hand position and also their finger strength. The ‘A dozen a day’ series is also very good and maybe slightly more progressive than Hanon.

Hi there!
I really like Faber and Faber Piano Adventures. It has great little songs with lyrics that help you understand the rhythm in a very natural way that doesn’t feel academic.
Hope that helps!

Good day, I would say check out the Piano Adventures website. They have a vast range of books depending on the age of the beginner also. They have a technique and artistry book which specifically aids this problem of rehearsing good technique on a regular basis and linking it with your pieces. I hope this helps

It depends on students' ages and preferences.
I would recommend Adult All-in-One Course: Lesson, Theory, Technique Level 1 (Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course) for adult students who want to know basic piano and music theory at the same time. For children, I highly recommend John Thompson's Easiest Piano Course for starters.
For finger exercises, for any students, I would recommend Hanon Virtuoso. From beginners to Advanced students this would help for your finger trainings :)

Hi Jay,
When I started learning to play the piano I began with a book called Piano World by Joanna MacGregor. Everything is introduced in a fun way and has a great CD accompaniment to help and guide individual practice. There are a collection of 3 books each one becomes more advanced. Hope this helps!

Hi Jay,
I would choose the ABRSM books. They are graded so its easy to get the right book for your ability. They have a range books from exercises, pieces, and specific books for exams. What I really like is the grading range means the series grows with you through your journey to grade 8 and diploma. If you need anymore info on anything feel free to message me.
