Hello! The chords are made from more than 2 notes at a time. Happy to help you figure them out in any song of your choice!

Start learning A, E, and D, a few simple rhythms, and some basic songs that contain those chords. Then learn Am, Em, C, and G, some more rhythms, and songs that include the new chords. If you need more help, get in touch to arrange a free lesson.

Well, 'Chords' is a big matter not even on guitar, is the origin of music too! 'Chords' on guitar, which is only a few notes (basic) that need to press down the strings and sounds, maybe 4 to 5 or even 6 strings, with 3-5 notes together with our left-hand fingers. On the other hand, you strike the strings or play the strings on the right-hand side with right-hand fingers or with a 'pick', a small plastic triangular shape plate.... haha, to make sounds or what we call 'chords', but at the same time you need with some 'movement' too, that we called 'rhythm'. You just need a few chords and rhythm to start enjoying the music but of course need some time to practice, to 'adapt' the move, building the muscle memory with all those skills It's really hard to talk on details in just few words or sounds confusing. But indeed, Guitar always is an instrument that sounds 'cool' and easy to make music anywhere you are.

Hi . If you want to play your favourite tunes for yourself or others to sing along to then yes learn the chords. I always get my students to learn what I call the magic three to start ( E, A and D) so many songs use just these three and E and A are easy to play. You can learn chords by looking online but having a tutor show you how to make the chord shapes really helps. I show all my students all the major, minor and 7 chords then others as and when we need them for new songs. There are 12 of each of these. Learn chords gradually adding one or two at a time week by week . There are hundreds but you only need to know a few to play lots of songs. Once you are onto bars you can learn lots more by moving the shape up and and down the guitar fret.
