Hello, the cell cycle goes through the interphase first and then the mitotic phase. The interphase is the longest phase where it goes through G1, S and then G2 phase. Cell cycle is a series of events which takes place during cell division. It consists of mainly 2 phases interphase and mitosis. Interphase further consists of G1,S and G2 phases. In G1 phase cell grows in size, S phase involves DNA duplication and in G2 phase cell checks for any chromosonal duplication errors. After that cell enters into Mitosis phase which results in 2 daughter cells. Mitosis further consists of prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase
