Advert description
Hello, I’m George, a qualified and experienced secondary school Science teacher, specialising in Biology. Since 2020, I’ve taught hundreds of students across KS3, GCSE, and A-level, helping them achieve real progress, confidence, and excellent results in Science. I am now taking on new students for the current academic year.
My passion for teaching began during a volunteer placement in Ghana, where I taught English and helped coach local sports teams, seeing first-hand the transformative power of education. I further honed my teaching skills as a Peer Assisted Study Leader at the University of Bristol, supporting first-year students to understand complex topics and prepare effectively for exams.
I hold a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Bristol and a PGCE in Science from the University of Buckinghamshire. I’ve also been involved in international conservation projects in Sri Lanka and Costa Rica, experiences that deepen my enthusiasm for Biology and allow me to bring real-world context into lessons, making Science engaging and meaningful.
As a tutor, I tailor every session to the individual needs of the student, combining interactive teaching methods with exam-focused strategies. I emphasise exam technique, question approach, and time management, ensuring students are fully prepared and confident for assessments.
With my classroom experience, subject expertise, and commitment to student success, I offer more than typical tutoring — I bring a teacher’s insight and proven methods to help your child excel in Science.
