Advert description
I have a First Class BA in Physics & Philosophy from the University of Oxford and c.5 years of tutoring experience. I teach physics with a focus on building clarity, consistency, and strong exam technique. My approach is structured and analytical - together, we break problems down into clear steps, understand the underlying principles, and practise applying them in a reliable, repeatable way.
Many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because schools focus on rote learning and memorisation, rather than developing a fundamental understanding of the topics at hand and a clear method. I focus on developing both - working from first principles, how to approach unfamiliar questions and avoid common mistakes, and how to translate understanding into top marks under time pressure.
Lessons are interactive and tailored. Rather than memorising formulas, we work through ideas together, often deriving results or rebuilding concepts from first principles so they genuinely make sense. This helps build confidence and reduces reliance on guesswork.
I also place strong emphasis on exam practice - interpreting mark schemes, structuring answers clearly, and learning how to pick up method marks even when unsure.
Whether the aim is to improve consistency, strengthen fundamentals, or push towards top grades, I help students develop a calm, precise, and effective way of working through maths.
