Mathematics and science teacher, teaching GCSE level to a very high standard

Advert description
I achieved A* in maths and further maths at GCSE (also the three sciences if any students are interested). I currently study a degree in Digital Music and work as a freelance digital/graffiti artist. I good art work shops at youth clubs and schools. I’m these I teach students from sixth form down to year seven.

When approaching a mathematical concept I will show you how this is applied in real life. This makes learning interesting and integrates what you’ve learned into everything else you already know, making it part of who you are. This is what separates data/information and knowledge. As Steve Jobs said “Genius is linking things.” This is what made me peruse my own learning in school and I’d like to impart this philosophy in you.

For example, if you thought simultaneous equations - and all of algebra for that matter - were useless, thing again. Simultaneous equations can be used in a multitude of ways, some you probably apply on a daily basis without realising. One could use simultaneous equations to work out which job is more worth your while. You could set the the two variables in each equation to work hours and commission, then equate both to salary. You’d then solve to see which is the better option. This concept can also be used to sniff out the best value for money, the fastest route… the list goes on.

After reading that are you not at least a little more excited about simultaneous equations? Well if you are then request a lesson from me and I’ll happily blow your mind by showing you how maths can be applied to the world and your world (your exams).
