I have a master's degree in Education (Kingston University) and a BA in MFL: I read French and Spanish at Bordeaux University 3. I have been teaching for over 40 years and my students have enjoyed outstanding academic success at GCSE, A level and BA level.

Students who want to speak and converse will:
Learn how to express themselves and understand native speakers in various topic-based situations (greetings, personal introductions, shopping, leisure activities, hotel, restaurant … ) using home-made resources*
Learn essential vocabulary and link words
Learn verbs, structures and grammatical points (power point presentations)
NB*: target language recordings provided as and when necessary
Students who intend to take public examinations (GCSE, A level, Degrees) will:
Be given relevant information about examination specifications
Be provided with home-made resources (guides, vocabulary lists, link words, structures and grammatical points in power point presentations)
Learn how to listen and read (home-made resources and past exam papers)
Learn how to deal with oral exam tasks (role-plays, photo descriptions, general questions on main themes (GCSE) oral stimuli and Individual Research Project (A level)
Learn how to use a structured approach in essay-writing: model introductions, evidence-based analytical comments and concise conclusions (GCSE, A level)
Be provided with model essays (GCSE, A level)
Be provided with in-depth analysis and detailed comments/evaluations of set books or films: Volver, un sac de billes, Au revoir les enfants, la casa de Bernarda Alba …
