Bex was an exceptional sewing tutor. She was incredibly patient and had a wealth of knowledge about her subject area. She was skilled and very hands-on, matching her style of teaching to each student's needs rather than a one size fits all approach. Bex showed a love for teaching and support for all students.

I was a bit of a newby at sewing when I started in Bex’s class, but under the guidance of Bex I gained so much confidence and skill that I was quickly able to alter patterns to suit my body shape. We made toile garments, for the alterations and to learn the techniques before putting together the real thing. Bex taught me how to handle the sewing machine with finesse so I could do the finer details, I also learned how brilliant an overlocker is at any level of dressmaking. The skills I learned under Bex’s tutelage have stayed with me because of the relaxed manner in each classroom. Bex has the patience of a saint when teaching students. She has the understanding that each of us were at different points in our learning and we all needed different levels of support and guidance. I would go back to a dressmaker class with Bex in a heartbeat to learn more skills. She is a very skilled tutor and top notch seamstress.

Rebecca was a wonderful teacher and sewing mentor for my daughter Molly when she was only 5. Patient and kind and a total sewing expert, she taught her very safely and effectively.
