My lessons are structured, supportive and tailored to your individual goals. I teach Functional Skills English from Entry Level to Level 2, helping learners build both skills and confidence at a pace that works for them.
Each session begins with a clear objective so you know exactly what we’re working towards. I usually start with a short recap or warm-up to reinforce previous learning, then introduce the focus topic using clear explanations and practical, real-life examples. I break skills down into manageable steps to make learning feel achievable and less overwhelming.
Lessons are interactive rather than lecture-style. We complete guided practice together before moving on to independent tasks, so you can apply what you’ve learned while still feeling supported. I use regular questioning and quick formative assessment to check understanding and adapt the session where needed.
For learners preparing for exams, I place strong emphasis on exam technique, including timing, structuring responses and understanding what examiners are looking for.
