Advert description
With a strong background in teaching, student mentorship, and student support, I am confident in my ability to deliver engaging and effective learning and support experiences in an online environment.
As lead for assessment for year two physician associate students, I was the number one point of contact for any queries, concerns and anxieties the students may have. I was also academic advises to medical students ranging from year 1 to year 5. Both roles include pastoral support and ensuring that the students wellbeing were number one priority.
I have also led on teaching sessions to encourage students to find out what type of learner they are, time management and assessment techniques to ensure that each student reaches their best potential. As module lead I have also organised sessions on student mental wellbeing and student support.
I have extensive experience in higher and adult education, including module leadership, assessment design, and facilitating both small and large group teaching sessions. My work has involved mentoring students, writing and marking exam questions, and contributing to OSCE development and assessment. These experiences have strengthened my ability to deliver structured, high-quality education while maintaining a supportive and student-centred approach.
I am particularly passionate about creating inclusive and interactive learning environments. I have successfully used digital tools such as Padlet, Kahoot and Mentimeter to stimulate discussion, encourage collaboration, and maintain student engagement in virtual settings. My ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs ensures that all students are supported in achieving their full potential.
In addition to my teaching experience, I am highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working remotely. I understand the importance of clear communication, time management, and maintaining a strong presence in online learning spaces.
