Advert description
My teaching philosophy is based on research-led learning. I view education not as the transmission of facts, but as an opportunity to train future leaders to be intellectually independent critical thinkers capable of formulating hypotheses, analyzing data, and effectively communicating complex biological topics. In my classes, I encourage students to question assumptions, understand primary literature, and engage in discussions to tackle complex biological problems. I cultivate an inclusive and respectful learning environment where diverse perspectives are welcomed. I have taught undergraduate and graduate students across multiple institutions, including the
University of Oxford, Arizona State University, Tufts University, and currently as a Visiting Lecturer at Frederick University. I have also worked as an online tutor for undergraduates and graduates via online tuition companies, such as MyTutor, Preply, Ivy Education,
TutorHouse, Teacheron, Spires Tutors, MeetATutor, and Limin Ltd (2018-2019). During 2022-2023, I taught 26 1:1 online sessions for undergraduates and graduates on topics ofbiology, chemistry, academic writing, R coding, statistics, interview preparations, for the company “Spires Tutors”. My teaching spans evolution, developmental biology, quantitative methods, molecular techniques, and academic writing, including more specialized topics on comparative oncology and the evolution of multicellularity.
