Dr. Kayla S. Ingram investigates the molecular drivers of therapy resistance in breast cancer. Her passion for cultivating equitable spaces extends to her core research which inspired her to address the unique challenges in women’s health. She continues to demonstrate a passion for science engagement as an adjunct professor in Introductory Biology at Coppin State University. These extracurricular affairs led to her becoming one of ten inductees into the Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honors Society for the 2025 cohort.
Prior to her PhD, Dr. Ingram received her B.S. in Biology at Hampton University in 2018 and was awarded the T34 MARC scholarship which energized her pursuit to biomedical research. Soon after, she matriculated into her PhD program in Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, completing her dissertation in 2024.
