A science enthusiast and tutor who makes learning fun

Hello, I’m Akhilesh. I teach physics so that it makes sense, not so that it gets memorised. I hold a B.Sc (Hons) in Physics and a PG Diploma in Physics, and I have done research on two-dimensional materials. Over the last 3-4 years I have taught more than 1,000 students. I teach physics and maths up to Class 12, and chemistry and biology up to Class 10, fluently in English and Malayalam. How I teach: I never start with a formula. I start with something you can see. To explain viscosity, I place droplets of two liquids on a sheet and tilt it. One races down, the other crawls, and the student sees what viscosity means before I name it. Only then do we move to the definition, formulas and numericals. Every topic follows the same path: observe, question, explain, practise. I also connect each topic to daily life and show students how they can use physics to improve the world around them. When students know why they are learning something, their motivation follows.
