Advert description
I am a native‑level English speaker and UK‑qualified instructor with more than twenty‑two years of international experience in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, and English language education across higher education, vocational training, and professional development contexts. My academic background includes an MA in Applied Linguistics, formally recognised for comparability by UK ENIC, with specialist study in TEFL, TESOL, ESP, EAP, and EAL. This foundation enables me to work confidently with diverse learners, from beginners to advanced academic students, and to design instruction that is both pedagogically sound and responsive to real‑world needs.
Across my career, I have taught in the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and the wider MENA region, delivering programmes that support learners in developing strong communicative competence, academic literacy, and workplace‑ready English skills. My experience includes teaching ESOL/EFL at multiple levels, preparing students for university study, supporting technical and vocational learners, and designing curriculum materials aligned with institutional standards. I have worked within multicultural classrooms, pathway programmes, and professional training environments, consistently helping learners achieve measurable progress through structured guidance, clear modelling, and targeted feedback.
My teaching approach is grounded in clarity, inclusivity, and purposeful communication. I believe that effective language learning requires a balance of accuracy, fluency, and confidence, and I design lessons that integrate these elements in a coherent and supportive way. I adopt a communicative teaching approach, ensuring that students have frequent opportunities to use English meaningfully through discussion, problem‑solving tasks, role‑play, and guided interaction. At the same time, I place strong emphasis on accuracy, helping learners refine grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and academic conventions through explicit instruction and scaffolded practice.
My lessons are structured, goal‑oriented, and tailored to the needs of adult and young‑adult learners. I begin by identifying learners’ aims, whether academic, professional, or general English—and then design a sequence of activities that build skills progressively.
