Native Russian tutor from Kyrgyzstan offering personalised online lessons for adults, teens, and international students

Advert description
Hello. I'm Aiko, a native Russian speaker from Kyrgyzstan. I teach Russian to adults and teenagers online, from complete beginners to intermediate and advanced learners preparing for exams or specific goals. What I bring to lessons isn't just fluency in the language, but ten years of professional experience designing educational content, a Bachelor of Arts from the Kyrgyz State University of Culture and Arts. All of this shapes how I teach, with attention to structure, to sound, to how a phrase actually lands on the ear, and to what makes a language stick in your memory beyond the lesson. Why my students trust me I can point to a specific result. I prepared three Korean students for the entrance exams to Moscow State University. All three passed and were admitted. Our lessons were conducted entirely in English, since neither Korean nor Russian was a shared language between us. That experience taught me how to bridge across very different language systems, and how to help students who are learning Russian as their second or third language, not their first. How I teach I don't march students through a rigid textbook. I also don't do aimless conversation. What I do is design a personalised learning path for each student based on where you actually are, where you want to go, and how much time you can realistically give this. For every new student we start with a short conversation to understand three things: your current level (self-assessed and demonstrated), your goals (exam preparation, travel, professional communication, family, cultural interest, or something else entirely), and your schedule. From there I build a plan that we adjust together as we go. I choose creative and personalised way Grammar, taught in small digestible pieces rather than dense grammar dumps. We introduce a rule, use it, see it in context, and only then move on. Vocabulary, built around what you actually need. If you're travelling to St. Petersburg next month, we prioritise practical vocabulary. If you're reading Chekhov, we work with literary vocabulary.
