Ciao a tutti, my take on Bella Vita. I started lessons with Inga in a group meeting when I planned to walk the Via Francigena to Roma. After a break of a few years I now plan to walk in 2027 so I decided to go back one on one lessons. Inga suggested using her Italian Formulas Method which I find very simple to follow. As it is structured learning I am pleased that Inga allows me to spend the first 15 minutes of our lesson on area's of Italian I think I most need to familiarise myself with, ie asking directions, arranging accommodation etc. Then we move on to the Formulas Book. I never feel embarrassed regarding my pronunciations or my lack of ability to retain words. Inga always make me feel comfortable, of course we do joke at times regarding my ability to be better at remembering sentences from back to front especially days of the week and months of the year. If you want relaxed fun tutoring I can definitely recommend Bella Vita. Arrivederci a tutti.

Inga's method of teaching is enhanced by her knowledge and love of Italy. To her students she is, positive, encouraging, and incredibly patient. She breaks down complex grammar rules into manageable steps and always makes lessons fun. Thanks to Inga, I have gained the confidence to actually speak Italian not just study it.

Inga has been teaching us for a number of years and our Italian has progressed to us being confident to speak and hold a conversation when we go to Italy. Her lessons are always enjoyable and we come away feeling really inspired to learn more and continue with our exploration of this wonderful language (and country). Apart from being effortlessly fluent in the language, Inga is naturally vivacious and warm which makes lessons with her as enjoyable as they are instructive. And while the conversations in her classes are free-flowing and as spontaneous as one's grasp of Italian allows, Inga will always give little nudges in the direction of improving grammar and pronunciation. As I became more confident she would also demonstrate and encourage more use of idiom and slang, often illustrated with anecdotes from the years she spent living in Italy. When I am ready to improve my Italian some more, I hope I shall be able to join Inga's classes again, but meanwhile I feel confident that when I am in Italy I can have conversations with Italians, and have a good level of understanding on both sides. I very heartily recommend Inga's teaching.

I’ve never enjoyed language learning with anyone more and I’m a very mature student! French and German were torture at school as I was so self- conscious. Learning Portuguese in Brazil was a painful necessity in order to support my family, and trying to revive my French while living in Geneva was hard work. Inga ensures our lessons are enjoyable and relevant to our personal priorities. Her knowledge of grammar in Italian and English is exceptional and she explains things well and emphasises what’s important. Her simplified approach limiting grasping just 3 tenses in the early stages is a game changer and far less daunting than all other classes I have attended, and much more real and relevant than on-line methods. Inga is a delight to learn with and builds confidence by using a wide variety of approaches. I can confidently recommend her to all students, whatever their level!
