I give one to one lessons to students to help them progress further academically

I have been a KS1 to KS3 English and Maths tutor for the past 4 years. I have supported students with their SATS exams in year 6 and help students prepare early for when they start doing their GCSE exams in year 11. I use a lot of activities where I show students different methods of learning and understanding topics within the curriculum in both English and Maths. For example I use games to help students practise their skills for each topic we cover in our lessons. I would start off with a starter activity which usually covers a topic we have previously done. Followed by a main task where I use examples to explain the topic and end with a reflection of what they have learnt and how they can use what they have learnt outside of lessons. I have experience of exam boards such as Edexcel and AQA. I enjoy working with young people and being able to support them in their education is very rewarding for me to see the progress students can make is a very heartwarming feeling. I also look at different learning styles such as visual and audio learning to help students progress further academically.
