Three years as a student mentor, backed by an HR and mediation background. Expert in empathetic active listening, goal-setting, time management, and building student motivation, confidence, and resilience. I work remotely and flexibly. I teach and coach students by blending a supportive, person-centred approach with highly practical, actionable strategies. Every relationship begins with empathetic active listening to build trust, ensuring the student feels heard and understood without judgment. Rather than dictating solutions, I collaborate with them to identify their unique hurdles and break down overwhelming academic stress or personal anxieties into small, manageable goals. By focusing on the individual, I help students reframe negative self-talk, celebrate their small wins, and cultivate the resilient, growth-oriented mindset necessary to build lasting self-confidence. Once a secure foundation is established, I introduce tailored focus and organization tools to drive real progress. I equip students with practical time management techniques, such as structured scheduling and time-blocking, while teaching effective study habits that replace stressful cramming with consistent, healthy routines. Each online session concludes with a realistic action plan for the week ahead. In the following session, we gently review their progress together—navigating any roadblocks and adjusting our strategy so they always feel empowered, motivated, and fully supported on their journey toward personal and academic success.
