My English lessons are friendly, structured and designed to meet the individual needs of each student. I begin by identifying your current level, goals and areas for improvement, so that every lesson has a clear purpose. Whether you want to improve your speaking, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading or writing, I will prepare practical activities that help you make steady progress.
Lessons usually begin with a short conversation or review of previous work. I then introduce the main topic using clear explanations, examples, reading passages, discussion questions or visual materials. You will have plenty of opportunities to practise through conversation, guided exercises, role-plays, comprehension tasks and writing activities. At the end of each lesson, we review what you have learned and discuss the next step.
With 25 years of teaching experience, I have taught English First Language, English Second Language and Literature to teenagers and adults from different cultural backgrounds. I hold a Bachelor of Education and have extensive experience with the British and Cambridge curricula, including Checkpoint and IGCSE.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging and adaptable. I create a supportive atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because mistakes are an important part of learning. My lessons are interactive rather than lecture-based, and I adjust the pace and level to suit you. My aim is not only to improve your English, but also to build your confidence and help you use the language naturally in everyday, academic or professional situations with greater accuracy, fluency and independence.
