It can be fun to learn, but we must learn to have fun. The best way to study is to be with a buddy!

I have been engaged in the challenging and rewarding task of teaching English to young learners, grades 4-7, for more than fifteen years. Most of which was spent interacting with the International Baccalaureate, Primary Years Programme. During much of this time I also taught adults at very well regarded technical academies. I have taught all levels of English from beginner’s level children to adult proficiency.
These institutions have provided regular and intensive professional development opportunities which I have engaged in as a participant and presenter in seminars and symposiums. However, I am looking to broaden my horizons and like to take on new challenges. I have a Master’s Degree in education. I am also a Level 2 Google Certified Educator experienced in hybrid and online education platforms.
Lifelong learning is not just something I talk about in the classroom. I have been working with young learners for many years now, and enjoy the inspiration they provide. The challenges faced by our learners in these times of change must be met with optimism and creativity. The lessons they are learning are not only from their textbooks. Being able to create student centred learning environments and acting as a positive example of inquiry and active problem solving are some of my strongest personality traits.
I helped my school integrate from a candidate to a fully accredited International Baccalaureate, Primary Years Programme, institution. During that time I supported the goals of many students who have now begun to achieve the professional success they dreamt of as children. For many years I also taught IELTS and Proficiency at private language courses and so I also have a great deal of experience with adult learners and helping them integrate their language abilities to develop, and broaden their professional and scholastic skills.
I look forward to continuing my personal educational journey through a vibrant interaction with more students in the near future.
