My approach is supportive, flexible, and tailored to each individual. I focus on creating a relaxed, non-judgemental environment where students feel comfortable to talk openly and ask questions.
I begin by understanding each individuals goals, challenges, and learning style, and then work with them to create a clear and manageable plan. Sessions are interactive and encouraging, combining practical guidance with confidence-building and mindset support.
I break things down into simple, achievable steps, helping each person feel a sense of progress and accomplishment. I also encourage independent thinking and self-belief, so they not only improve in the short term but gain skills and confidence they can carry forward.
I have extensive informal mentoring experience, supporting my nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends’ children with homework, personal development, and important life decisions. This has included helping with personal statements, guiding career choices, supporting A-level studies, and providing emotional support during challenging times.
I have also supported young people through more complex situations, helping them build confidence, resilience, and a sense of direction. My professional background has further strengthened my skills in problem-solving, structured planning, and delivering tailored support to individuals.
