My teaching approach is centred around making learning clear, engaging, and comfortable for the student. I believe students learn best when they understand why something works rather than simply memorising information. I start by understanding the student’s current level and identifying which areas they find difficult. I then break the topic into smaller, manageable ideas and explain each one using simple language, examples, diagrams, and questions. For science subjects especially, I like connecting concepts to everyday situations so that they feel more practical and easier to remember. I also encourage students to ask questions and explain concepts in their own words. This helps me check their understanding and allows me to identify any gaps that may not be obvious from simply completing exercises. Depending on the student’s needs, lessons can include guided practice, homework support, revision, or preparation for upcoming tests and exams. I adapt my pace and teaching style to each student rather than using exactly the same approach for everyone. My aim is not only to help students improve academically, but also to make them feel more confident when approaching subjects they may initially find difficult. For younger students, I keep lessons particularly interactive and use plenty of examples and questions to maintain their attention. I want students to leave each lesson feeling that they understand the topic better and that learning it is something they can genuinely enjoy.
