Advert description
I’m comfortable helping a range of students, from beginners to more advanced students, in a wide range of musical topics. I gained valuable experience as a working musician during my year as the organ scholar of the English Choral Foundation, Hereford Cathedral. In this role, I assisted in the training of cathedral choristers, which involved daily rehearsals, services and weekly music theory tuition; I assisted in a music outreach project which involved giving free weekly 1:1 piano tuition to 4 piano students in years 4 and 5 in order to make piano and music in general more accessible to them; furthermore, I regularly accompanied the professional cathedral choir during their 8 sung weekly services, this enabled me to develop my skills as an accompanist, solo performer, and conductor. My work as an organist requires attentiveness to detail and high standards of working. My dedication to any student’s learning is no different: I am determined to ensure that I do the best I can to help guide students through to the best learning outcome possible.
