Although I have not had previous experience with teaching English directly, I have volunteered in the library at my previous sixth form by helping year 7 and 8 students with their reading comprehension skills. Further, I have worked with my previous theatre company by aiding the juniors with their productions. Therefore, I feel as though I am well suited in working with students younger than I am. As for the structure of my lessons, I would aim to first understand the student's needs and requirements surrounding the subject, after which I can create individual learning materials that are best suited to the student's learning style as well as their area of difficulty in the subject.
