Advert description
I teach composition, from GCSE and A-Level coursework through to full portfolios for conservatoire and university music applications. I also teach music theory, including ABRSM grades 1–8, and music technology for students who are interested in it.
I studied composition at Trinity Laban and the Royal Danish Academy of Music before completing a PhD at the University of York, where I've also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, delivering composition seminars and marking student assessments. I've taught learners aged 6 to 18 as well as university students, and my own work has been performed internationally and published in Organised Sound and Leonardo (MIT Press).
Lessons are built around what you're trying to achieve, whether that's passing a theory grade, building a portfolio, or simply writing music.
