I tutor children of all ages and abilities up to and including GCSE in Maths and English

For the past ten years, following retirement as Head of Mathematics and Head of Assessment in a Norfolk County school, I have worked as a private tutor both online and in person. My specialisms are Mathematics and English up to and including GCSE level.
Whilst in post, I undertook many courses in the pursuit of effective teaching and learning, including SpLD, to enable children with specific learning difficulties, Dyslexia and Dyscalculia in particular, to develop their understanding and skills, and to achieve their full potential.
As a mother and grandmother, I understand the importance of education, and the need for our children to be equipped with the tools required to thrive in the modern world. My teaching therefore focuses on enabling students to develop transferable skills and to apply their understanding to the demanding curriculum of today.
