GCSE Science - Physics speciality

I have worked with teenagers for 17 years and taught the sciences for 12 years. Although I teach all three sciences to GCSE level, my degree is in Physics so this is my speciality. I have tutored in my own time over the last decade but took a break over the last few years due to having young children.

For the last 7 years I have worked as an examiner for both AQA and Edexcel marking Physics GCSE papers. This has given me a unique knowledge into the workings of the exam boards and an insight into exactly what is required of students for the best grades possible.

I firmly believe in practice makes perfect so my tutoring sessions are based around revision of knowledge, retrieval quizzes and then using exam questions and mark schemes to improve exam skills. Ultimately, my main aim is to help the student to improve their grade by increasing their confidence, their exam technique and addressing common misconceptions.

I can offer 1:1 sessions at your house or online for £40 per hour. I can also offer small group sessions (3-5 students) at a local library at a cost of £20 per student per hour.
