Advert description
Hi! I am an undergraduate Classics student at St Hilda's College, Oxford.
My lessons are friendly and relaxed in which students feel confident to ask questions. Every lesson is completely personalised to each student and they are encouraged to bring up whatever they might be struggling with. My teaching style is patient and encouraging, and I aim to build both confidence and independence over time.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes long, although I am flexible depending on what suits the student best. Follow-up tasks can also be set if helpful.
My lessons are perfect for:
- GCSE and A-Level students studying Classical Civilisation, Latin and Classical Greek.
- Students preparing for university applications, including personal statement support or admissions test preparation.
- Students preparing for 11+/13+ Common Entrance in Classical subjects.
I have taught a variety of ages and abilities, from younger students needing support with the foundations of language to older students tackling set texts, past papers and difficult grammatical constructions.
Being a second-year Oxford undergraduate, I have up to date experience of the exam system as well as the university application process.
I aim for my students to feel confident, prepared and enjoy all that these Classical subjects have to offer!
