Advert description
As a medical student at the University of Manchester, I understand the challenges students face when preparing for exams, especially in subjects like chemistry. Having achieved an A* in chemistry at GCSE and A-level, I’m eager to share my knowledge and strategies to help students boost their grades and build confidence. I have strong communication and organisational skills, which enable me to form effective connections with students. I am patient and dedicated, ensuring that every topic is fully understood before moving on.
I have several years of tutoring experience, helping students at different levels in maths (GCSE and below). My passion for teaching started in sixth form, where I tutored GCSE students in both maths and chemistry, helping them improve their understanding and gain confidence. I also volunteered for a year at my former primary school, teaching science and maths to younger students. This experience strengthened my ability to break down concepts clearly and adapt my teaching style to meet the needs of diverse learners.
In addition to tutoring younger students, I’ve worked with medical applicants, helping them prepare for the UCAT exams. This has provided me with valuable insight into exam-focused teaching and problem-solving techniques.
Through all these experiences, I’ve developed a structured, engaging, and student-centred approach to tutoring. I take the time to understand each student’s learning style and ensure the material is broken down in a way that makes sense to them. I love seeing students grow in confidence and achieve their academic goals!
