During my school years, I didn’t get the help that I was suppose to from my teachers. This is one of the biggest reasons why I want to go into tutoring as I don’t want a student to feel left out from learning and experiencing new things. My skills set allows me to be patient and broad minded. I understand everyone has a different learning style and some people may be quicker to grasp on ideas than others. In my teaching experience, I once came across a student with Pathological Demand Avoidance, meaning I couldn’t use direct terms when speaking with them. It was quite challenging at first but soon o got the hang of it. I also have worked with students separately and in group settings. I know how to engage with students and get them involved in tasks.
