English teacher with 8 years' experience offering tutoring for GCSE English and English Literature (all exam boards offered)

I offer tuition for GCSE English Language and English Literature, for all exam boards. I also offer A Level English tuition on request.
My aim is to assess what a student might be struggling with, plan engaging ways to practise this skill, and give ample opportunities to review and assess what has been learned. Plenty of encouragement and high-quality, constructive feedback guaranteed!
Sessions typically last an hour, either online or in person, and I'm happy to mark written work between sessions for additional feedback, for a small additional fee.

First and foremost, I love literature and the written word! I thrive on enabling students to become confident communicators, or to get to grips with complex Literature texts. I operate on a 'progress, not perfection' methodology, which encourages students to focus on the sure and steady improvements in their work, rather than worrying about an often-imaginary image of what 'perfect' looks like. Together, we will work to ensure you achieve your full potential.
