English for Portuguese speakers — conversation, confidence and everyday life

I learned English as a second language, so I know what it feels like to understand every word and still not be able to open your mouth.

Born and raised in Brazil, I now live in the UK and my whole daily life runs in English. I've made the journey you're making, and I remember which parts were hard. Having gotten As across many different subjects for my GCSEs and A Levels, including English Language, I have demonstrated profficiency within the British education system at intermediate and higher levels.

Because we share a first language, I can explain in Portuguese when you're stuck, then bring you straight back into English. Lessons are conversation-led — you'll speak from the very first session, and I'll correct you gently as we go.

Beginners and nervous speakers especially welcome.
