Experienced SEND consultant and tutor supporting learners aged 10–16 with diverse needs. I create personalised, outcomes-focused lessons that build confidence, independence, and academic progress. I am a specialist SEND educator and consultant with extensive experience supporting children and young people with a wide range of additional needs, including social, emotional, and communication difficulties. My approach is grounded in empathy, structure, and high expectations — I believe every learner can make meaningful progress when their individual strengths and needs are truly understood.
I design highly personalised learning experiences that combine academic progress with emotional wellbeing, helping learners build confidence, independence, and resilience. I create Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) with SMART targets and work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure consistent, measurable progress. My responsibilities also include liaising directly with Local Authorities, case workers, and education service managers to ensure appropriate and effective provision for learners with diverse and complex needs. I manage safeguarding concerns, contribute to EHCP reviews, and design personalised learning pathways tailored to each student’s outcomes.
I provide 1:1 SEND tutoring for Years 6–11, including GCSE preparation in English and Maths. I support learners who have been excluded or are awaiting school placement, helping them reintegrate successfully into education. Lessons focus on both academic progress and life skills, combining structured learning with practical strategies to build confidence, independence, and self-belief.
A recent success involved a Year 11 learner who had been excluded from school. Over four months, I facilitated significant academic progress and personal development, reigniting his engagement with learning and helping the school explore a suitable long-term placement. This outcome highlights my ability to create positive, lasting change for learners with complex needs.
