A Level teacher with over two decades experience

I have 20 years of experience teaching History, Politics, Religious Studies and Economics at A Level in person and online. In my capacity as a professional exam coach I have supported A level students in gaining entry to their first-choice university including Oxford, Cambridge and the Russell group and GCSE students in passing exams and making the step up to A level or College courses. I have also provided tuition to year 10 and 12 students, helping them through their A Levels and GCSEs in particular helping them prepare for crucial end of year exams.
I specialise in modern history from the 16th century to the present day with particular focus on British, European, American, Russian, Indian, South African and Chinese history. I have also taught Medieval and Ancient History in previous academic years. I have a great deal of assistance in helping students with their NEA research and writing, exam practice throughout the year and assisting with all aspects of revision in the run up to summer exams. My previous experience as an examiner has given me insights into what is required to gain the highest marks possible. For Government and Politics I teach both the Politics of the USA and Global Politics and Ecologism, Nationalism and Anarchism as non-core ideologies for both the AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I specialise in exam techniques and skills, essay writing under timed conditions and syllabus revision particularly in regards to comparative assessments and source evaluation. For Religious Studies/Philosophy A level I teach developments in Christianity, Buddhism and Judaism, the New Testament as well as Philosophy of Religion, Religious Ethics, Epistemology and Metaphysics for the AQA, OCR and Edexcel exam boards.
