A'level tutor in Politics across all exam boards

I have a First Class degree in history and 2 law degrees. I was a lecturer in law at the Open University for nine years and have been tutoring politics for 12 years. I am also a sitting family court presiding justice. My students benefit from my law and history background and therefore the focus is on essay writing and evaluations and getting students to think confidently about politics in order to write analytical answers. My tutees achieve the top grades consistently. A'level results, June-% achieved A*-C (50% A-A*). Every tutee improved their grades by at least 1 grade, and even those who got Bs and Cs came to me having failed their mocks. These results repeat the results I have obtained over many years. All my lessons take place online through a dedicated zoom classroom and we work collaboratively via google docs. I specialise in teaching students exam skills, many students don't struggle with content of politics, but more in writing articulate and coherent answers which are analytical and evaluative. With my years of experience, I know exactly what is required to gain the best marks and can show tutees why they are not achieving the grades they deserve. I tutor students across the board, from those who may have learning challenges, such as dyslexia, ASD and ADHD and those who might be considered 'average' which is not a name I would apply to any student. I also have supported students who are gifted and talented who are not being stretched enough within the standard school environment. I teach confidence, as I find once a student has confidence in the subject, they regain their passion for it and can then perform at their very best.
