English tutor..I teach students of all ages

I have been a high school teacher for more than 10yrs and love teaching English language as a second language.
The mastery of the English language starts with the ability to read and write the language, which are some of the basic skills required besides being able to speak it fluently,then followed by the rules of the language eg verb and subject agreement(concord), test of orals etc.

I use both lecture centered and interactive/participatory methods of teaching my students, so they have the opportunity to ask as well as to answer questions. This way, they learn faster.

In April 2023, I sat for IELTS UKVI in preparation for my immigration from Nigeria to the UK and got a band score of 7.0 without much preparation.
My mastery of the English language comes from early years of reading lots of books and personal development skills which I intend to show my potential students.
I will show you the best ways of getting the most out of what you are taught in class to improve on your mastery of the English language.

Being proficient in English is usually mutually achieved by both tutor and student. My job will be to guide you in the right direction to give you the best outcomes of the classes we will be having together. I believe there are no academically bad students, only incompetent tutors that lack the skills to bring out the best in their students because nobody is unteachable.

I hold a Diploma in Social Work,a Degree in Sociology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education.
