I very much enjoy tutoring as I am able to establish good relationships with my students and have a good track record of improving their confidence in maths and enabling them to pass their GCSES

Firstly, I establish a friendly connection with the student. I then proceed to assess their abilities, and based on their performance offer them a task which is not too onerous, to enable them to gain confidence. I then build on this by guiding them through the gaps they may have. My lessons are peppered with banter and humour to help to relax the student.
