English PhD candidate with 3 years High school teaching experience

I used to work as a high school teacher in India before starting my PhD. I worked with the senior most students (ISC board) who opted for a more vigorous elective course in literature during their final two years. Over the years I have been able to fine tune my teaching methods to cater to the individual needs of the students and have been able to create a friendly and lively learning environment which helps foster a sense of confidence in the child. I am meticulous in my grading and feedback and believe that a steady and balanced combination of long term and short term goals help aid in the student's development in the subject; especially with reference to critical essay writing.
