Advert description
I can teach you an essential workflow for effective drawing skills from observation. This relates to still-life, life study, copying from pictures, scaling images up and down and drawing directly at "sight size".
I will introduce you to the essential equipment for drawing, and provide you thorough insights into other equipment that you may or may not have an interest in trying.
I can show you how to simply use your pencil to translate what you're seeing onto the page in a reliable and predictable way. Imagine any object as a collection of flat geometric shapes, quickly lay out an accurate 'scaffolding' for the object you want to draw, and flesh out that scaffolding in an organised series of "layers of detail". We start with essential geometries and shapes to establish structure, then move into tighter geometries to figure out where shadows and highlights should live, and then move into more detail still, so your drawing has depth, structure, detail and -most importantly - a great jump in accuracy.
This course is available for learners at all levels who are interested in refining their drawing abilities, and is applicable to direct observational painting as well - Oils, Acrylics, and a limited process in gouache or watercolour
