Ah ha! Primary Learning

Advert description
Fully Qualified Teacher with 9 Years Primary Teaching Experience. I have experience in teaching all primary subjects and students with varied needs and abilities including EAL and SEN children.
Please read on to learn more about my experience, expertise and teaching philosophy.

I believe in teaching and inspiring children to offer the world and others their best self. I aim to prepare and empower the children I work with, for emotional, social, physical, mental and academic success. I am committed to supporting children with learning and experiences that offer opportunities for appreciation, fun, creativity, joy and skill building. It is our responsibility as adults and teachers to teach children to be self-reflective, curious, caring and bring forth the power from within them to be confident, self-motivated and independent individuals. I hope to be able to offer my service in supporting your child/children. Although, I am qualified and experienced in teaching all primary subjects, I have specified training to support reading, writing, maths, art, ASD and mindfulness.

Please message me if you have questions. I would be happy to further explain my experiences and qualifications. I also am happy to provide documentation of my teaching qualifications.

I am originally from Canada and I have spent over the last decade travelling and teaching in different parts of the world. I have lived and worked as full time primary teacher in Brighton for 6 years. I spent over a year and half teaching primary school in Thailand. After completing my Bachelor of Education in Toronto, I accepted an outstanding opportunity to work as a private tutor for a year and a half, travelling Africa, Europe and the UK. I then moved to the UK and began supply teaching, building my experience with the English National Curriculum and gained my QTS. In 2016, I landed a permanent role at a school in Brighton and worked there for over 5 years. I recently experienced some life changes and I have taken a break from full-time classroom teaching, however, I still have a passion to support children in their development.
