I entered the profession to help students get to where they want to. Having worked in education for 20 years, I am confident that I understand what students need and can use a range of techniques to support them. I keep up to date with course requirements as they change, and regularly review my practice through research. I am DBS cleared
I love teaching as much as I love the subject, so it really is a privilege to help students reach their full potential. In recent years, I have identified underperforming students and mentored them to help them understand and overcome their barriers to success. I can help to raise confidence by adapting to individual needs and then share techniques to improve knowledge, understanding and exam technique. Working as an examiner has helped me to pass on those all-important tips to students once they understand the content.
