Advert description
I achieved an A in both GCSE and A-level maths, which provided me with a strong foundation in the subject. While I don't have a formal teaching degree, I have practical experience helping family members improve their grades, including turning a failing grade into a pass. This experience has improved my ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable way.
My approach begins with an assessment to see the student's current understanding, typically through a past paper or practice questions. This helps me identify where they may be struggling. Once we have a clear picture of their strengths and weaknesses, I create a tailored plan that focuses on addressing those weaknesses while reinforcing their strengths. I aim to make learning interactive and engaging, incorporating different teaching methods such as problem-solving, discussion, and active recall. Throughout our sessions, I provide regular feedback and adjust our lessons to ensure continuous improvement and build their confidence. My goal is not only to help students pass but to instill a lasting understanding of maths that they can carry forward
