Native English speaker who has for 10 years of experience teaching ESOL, EAP and TEFL

My name is Nicolas and I am originally from the United States, but I have been teaching English in Europe and the UK for 10 years. I am aware of the differences between British and American English. I have worked in a variety of classroom settings. From young learners to English for academic purposes (EAP). Preparing students to complete PET exams while working in Spain, to IELTS and City and Guilds exams in the U.K.

I grew up speaking English and Polish at home, so I understand the importance of language learning. This has helped me relate to my students language journeys and support them through their studies.

Currently I work as an ESOL instructor. Where I have led in producing resources for Entry 3 levels. Also, produced additional support resources for level 2 ESOL students. Also, during lockdown did lessons via Teams and still using the Teams platform in a classroom setting.

I believe that the best way to learn is by having fun and being completely comfortable in the class. I keep my lessons fun and engaging at all times.
