The following is my thoughts about Chinese tutor:

1. Reflective Teaching Practice: reflection is an important quality of a good teacher. It increases teachers' self-awareness and self-observation of their own teaching practice. I can reflect using methods such as teacher journals, peer teacher observations, recorded lessons and student feedback to review problems in my teaching and plan for improvement¹.

2. Improve language skills: As a Chinese language teacher, I need to continuously improve my language skills. I can improve my language skills by reading Chinese books, watching Chinese films and TV programmes, and participating in Chinese conversation groups².

3. Understanding students' needs: Understanding students' needs is the key to being a good Chinese teacher. I can better meet my students' needs by interacting with them, understanding their backgrounds and cultural contexts as well as their learning goals³.

4. Use a variety of teaching methods: Using a variety of teaching methods can help me better meet the needs of different types of students. For example, I can use games, music, videos, and many other ways to engage students⁴.

5. Participate in professional trainings: Participating in professional trainings can help me better understand the latest trends and best practices in the field of Chinese language education. These trainings will also provide me with opportunities to interact with other Chinese language teachers, thus broadening my horizons and gaining new inspirations.
