I have a degree with hons (1st) and Masters. I am an experienced contemporary music tutor with 15 years experience teaching various age groups. Currently head of performance at an institute in Brighton. I also have extensive touring and studio experience.

As a singer, songwriter and performer who has supported artists such as Paolo Nutini, Newton Faulkner, Nick Mulvey and Congo Natty, and performed at venues including the O2 Academy, Shepherds Bush Empire, The Roundhouse and Maida Vale Studios.

As a tutor and examiner, Abi has worked with students for over 15 years, specialising in songwriting, live performance, aural perception, music theory, project management and vocal coaching. Abi’s experience stretches over a variety of genres, from folk-acoustic to African-hip hop and electronic swing/gypsy jazz. Her current project, a culmination of lo-fi beats and synth-tinged folk, trip-pop, layered with emotive lyrics, has received national and international coverage from the likes of NPR, WTHB, TSUGI, Women of Substance and BBC Introducing.
