I am a trainee primary teacher just about to begin my 3rd and final year on my course! I have taught in both ks1 and ks2.

I have two years primary teaching experience where I taught all in a range of year groups. I have a deep passion for reading which comes through in my practice. I believe it is one of the most important skills a child can learn, building comprehension, creativity and generally setting a strong foundation for learning. When planning a lesson I first ask myself, what would make the children interested in this subject? Whether I am teaching the water cycle or addition, I constantly consider how I can connect this to their curiosity. Making children interested in their own learning exponentially grows their potential and my job is simply then to equip them with the skills and knowledge to explore their ideas.
